Bred by Rijk Zwaan, this crystal lettuce is like an open iceberg, with frilled, crunchy, and juicy leaves. Lalique RZ is green lettuce for year-round hydroponic production. It is very crispy and juicy and will hardly become bitter in any condition. It is very well suited for burgers and sandwiches. With a sweet crunchy bite, Crystal lettuces have a high leaf count of robust leaves, with a light blister and a frilled margin. In internal studies, Crystal lettuce has consistently performed well in taste tests and processability.
